UAlbany is getting a new president. This summer Governor Cuomo and the State University of New York announced the SUNY Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Havidan Rodriquez to be the 20th President of the University at Albany. Dr. Rodriquez, a sociologist, has 25 years of experience in higher education. Before coming to Albany, he served as Founding Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. He also has served as the Deputy Provost and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and International Programs at the University of Delaware where he led the Disaster Research Center.
